This powerpoint slideshow is used to help faculty and other leaders understand risk and their responsiblity associated with leading study abroad programs. It covers how to prepare and respond to a variety of situations, all of which have occured in real life.

To be prepared is half the victory. ~ Miguel De Cervantes. It’s better to be prepared for something that never happens than unprepared for something that does. So let’s practice! Pick a number from one of the following categories:

A. BEHAVIOR: 1 to 9

B. HEALTH & SAFETY: 10 to 19

C. DISASTERS: 20 to 25

D. FOR DIRECTORS (Optional – Extra)

Now, find your matching scenario in the powerpoint slideshow and work with your group to handle it. Be prepared to present your group’s scenario and agreed-upon approach.
